This one will rip your heart out, but its going to be ok - trust me. This one had me snorting with laughter, yet a few seconds later I was bawling my eyes out. My favourite part of this one was Teddy Penrose, quite the naughty little fella. The dialogue between him and Max was quite the highlight and also made me feel the darkness of the second half of the novel a little more deeply. As usual there is plenty of wicked dialogue to soothe some of the darker moments, but friends this one is going to play with your emotions. Also a fun little aside, I got an email from my son while listening that he had to make a miniature of the Trojan horse -- there is a big part of me wants to mess with the design for him.
“Oh, and you’ll be thrilled to hear, Dr Dawson, although too excited too remember to film the first race, definitely got the second – what little there was of it – but it quite clearly shows you head-butting a giant cheese and falling flat on your back and showing your drawers. There’s talk of putting it on YouTube. Unless you cough up. I hear the going rate is $50.”
“Once again, I was lost in an unfamiliar emotional maelstrom. However, there’s a St Mary’s ritual for dealing with this sort of thing. ‘Any chance of a cup of tea?
