Note about my Reviews

Dear Authors: The reviews in this blog are only personal opinions. I have absolutely no background in literature, writing or reviewing. I am a Librarian (actually a Library Technician for those who care OR know the difference) with a love for a good story. The opinions in the reviews are ONLY my OPINIONS. I am not commenting on the writers ability since well -- I am not a writer and never will be. If you are the author of any of the books reviewed here, my opinion is just that and not a judgment against you!

Rapid Fire Review: Just One Damned Thing after Another by Jodi Taylor

Just One Damned Thing After Another (The Chronicles of St Mary's, #1)Just One Damned Thing After Another by Jodi Taylor
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thank you Jen, I adore this series so far. Max is a fun and feisty heroine and the world Taylor has created is fascinating and filled with memorable characters. A fast paced story that you will not ever want to put down (Ok Well I was listening to it, so I guess I should say, didn't want to turn it off) Its sweet, snarky, sexy and fun, and you will actually learn a little bit of history too. The realistic look into history shows you the honesty and horrors of the past. It made me laugh out loud and cry and sorta wish I could be a Historian too . My only two complaints would have to be, it's time travel and that shit hurts my brain LOL! And umm, I am a little worried though if I ever meet a woman named Barclay I am going to want to call her bitchface Barclay. Cannot wait to listen to the next installment. Max is up there with my favorite heroines like Flavia de Luce and Lady Georgie Rannoch

Favourite Quotes (sorry was enjoying the story so much I forgot to highlight quotes so this is it - I promise to be better next time - I swear there were so many awesome one liners & many using the term bitchface barclay)
