Jake's Review: This book was funny and exciting. I wanted to keep on reading it in one night, but my mean old mom told me to turn out the lights and go to sleep. Something about it being a school night or something. The story fit together really well and the illustrations are awesome. I love these comic books (Mom calls them graphic novels) that Scholastic sends us they are so much fun and easy to read. Even Brian who doesn't like books would probably read this one. I would have liked more colour pictures, but mom explained to me that this was an uncorrected proof and the final copy would all be in colour. Fluffy was my favorite character because he is cute and funny and I like his USA costume. I didn't like Dr. Havoc because he is just really mean. I really liked the panel on Page 76 with the hippo and his butt showing, it really made me laugh. I can't wait to read more
Jake's Rating: 10/10
Mom's Review: Absolutely charming family friendly graphic novel that is still edgy and fun. Love the superhero pet angle, and the way the story is told through their eyes. This would be a great pick for a middle school library and especially the reluctant readers. Jake has read this 3 time already and he made sure that I knew that this was his book and I was not to add it to the spina bifida raffle.
