Dear Authors: The reviews in this blog are only personal opinions. I have absolutely no background in literature, writing or reviewing. If you are the author of any of the books reviewed here, my opinion is just that and not a judgment against you!

This weekend we went to Jeff's nephews 21st Birthday Party in Ottawa.  We went up on Saturday morning and came back Sunday Evening.  Here are a few pictures from the trip.  Sean brought along a couple of his friends from University who were awesome with Jake.  We were really impressed with his friends.  Fun boys with fantastic manners and great with kids! Auntie Holly outdid herselves as always.  The women is just bloody fantastic.  She's like Martha Stewart but hip and friendly!  And if you are ever in Ottawa definately take the Haunted Walk of Ottawa, Visit the old Gaol (also Haunted) which is now a Hostle and stay at the Minto Suites Hotel (Excellent hotel)

We took Jake skiing for the first time.  Unfortunately our camera acts out in the cold, so I was only able to get one picture.  This weekend I am bringing the other camera so I can get some good shots.
Last week was SSAW(Support Staff Appreciation Week) at work.  Basically the whole week we get to take courses and do fun things instead of working.  I took a woodworking seminar that was really interesting but all we got to do was sand and stain (very dissappointing).  I took a beading course which was fun, we got to make a necklace and a pair of earings.  The rest of the classes (Other than Mo's Yoga) were pretty lame, especially the "working with difficult people seminar".  To sum up the class -- We have to change, not the difficult people.  So basically we learned crap!   Difficult people are just going to keep on being difficult and annoying us "non-difficult" people.
The best part of the week is the Luncheon on the Friday.  This week the skits were so so and the presenter a HUGE DUD (She sang Que Sera Sera for gods sake), but we still had a great time.  People were to dress up like their favourite TV personality.  All of my costume ideas didnt't work out (Edith Prickley, Elvira, Velma) so Natasha and I dressed up like Striking Writers.  I thought our costumes rocked, but we didnt win.  Phyllis and Dawne (Laverne and Shirley) from our Library won which was nice.  A couple of the departments dressed up as a group which was fantastic (Survivor and Deal or No Deal)

Here are a couple of pictures from the Spice Girls Weekend.  We had an awesome time. I sold the tickets for $500 which was nice, because that paid off the credit card.  The hotel was ok, nothing fancy.  Although they had this awesome Indoor/Outdoor pool.  Jeff and I swam outside in February on a freezing night -- it was totally weird and fun.
The first night with my Sister and Neice was tons of fun.  Our Limo was huge and I went to the door to pick up my sister wearing a Tiara -- it was hilarious -- My sister wouldn't let me wear it back to the limo, she didnt want me to embarras her in front of the Neighbors.  The Limo driver was a dufous and barely smiled, but we still had fun.  We went out to dinner at "The Shanghai Cowgirl", an amazing restaurant on Queen St West.  Awesome food, Dirt Cheap and just a fun place to go -- you have to try their sweet potato fries and Trailer Trash Sushi.
After dinner we went to the Indigo (I know it sounds boring -- but I NEVER EVER get time to browse there)  After some shopping we sat down for my new addiction "Chai Tea Latte" -- seriously YUMMY.
Next we went to see "Juno" which is one of the best films I have seen in a long time.  Hilarious and touching -- it should have won the Academy Award for best picture -- but I guess there was no killing in it and it wasnt depressing as hell -- so it didnt stand a chance.  If you havent seen the movie -- stop what you are doing and go NOW!!
The next morning my sister let me and my neice sleep in and she went and got us a Tim Hortons breakfast -- she is the best sister ever -- I didnt even have to get out of the comfy hotel bed.  After they left, I just walked along King St and Queen West and just had fun shopping (and another Chai Tea Latte)
Jeff met me at the hotel at 5:00 and we just hung around and did nothing but go for a swimming.  If you are a parent you know this is true bliss : )
We went out to dinner at Big Daddy's which is a fantastic restaurant. Yummy cajun food -- especially their seafood.  We will definately be going bach there again.  Our waitress used to live in Bolton -- small world eh.
The limo that picked us up on Monday was frickin ENORMOUS.  The Driver was amazing and if I ever need a limo, I will definately be calling him.  All and all -- a wonderful weekend!

That's so awesome. That limo looks huge! I can't even imagine what it would be like to be in it!
